I was in France at the time, and it was near impossible to get NHL news. I did not know the results of the Finals for a few days. I called the office to see who won, and the other lawyers (both from Edmonton) thought I was twisting the knife. We had a party in Carcassonne a few days late!

Don't worry about the irony of it all. Up here in Deadmonton, during Flames/Oilers games at Rexall, they still put on the scoreboard that "The 'C' Still Stands For 'Choke'"! I guess its lost on them too.

I still remember my first Carolina Day. I've never been so at peace with the world. Man was that a nerve-wracking month.

Well after the Bruins saved us from a nightmare that would last all summer, figured this would be a good time to bump this thread on the 5th anniversary of the day the Hurricanes did something similar for us back in 2006!!!
