Yes I agree that it was a stupid penalty but calling Hamilton a stupid person is not acceptable. Calling anybody stupid is unacceptable especially that they don't really know him that well.

We’ll leave it to Flames fans and Internet sleuths as far as who is saying what. The broadcast crew included Rick Ball and John Garrett.

It's clearly not them saying the controversial comments, yet to those who don't know the voices, it can easily come off like it might have been

I'm hearing the Mr. Flame part differently. I think that was Garrett saying that about Ball, since he covers their games, looking for his opinion on the matter that the 3rd guy is talking about. Because Ball speaks right after, in a hesitant tone like he doesn't want any part of that convo. Which was impressive, considering he didn't even know they were on air.

And that 3rd guy doesn't sound like on air talent to me at all, it's not a polished voice. He kinda sounds like a generic schlub who hacks on darts all day. My guess is he's just part of the technical side of the production team.

It wouldn't surprise me if someone like Rick Ball was smart enough to know that there was a chance the feed was going somewhere and stay professional. Garrett, too.

Everything said was 100% truth and none of these broadcasters should be punished in any form. In fact I applaud them for speaking the truth. If Brodie, Hamilton, and Bouma are butt hurt about it, how about they start doing something productive for a change. I can understand mistakes and bad bounces once in a while. It's sports and things happen. When the same people keep making the same mistakes and are being paid millions of dollars, there is a problem and it should be rectified immediately. This falls on management. I think we need to start drafting players with higher IQ as the dummies we have posses none.
