Winning formula = Elliott + Tkachuk . Powerful duo ! GFG on the way to clinch a playoff spot!

With a win tonight, the Flames would finish the season at 14-7-0 versus the Central Division.

Absolutely. I hope they're not looking ahead to the Kings on Wednesday.

I don't see why anyone should be remotely concerned about this. Is there any evidence from the past two months that the Flames are looking past any team? The coaching staff has them playing a remarkably consistent level of hockey without respect to competition level or venue. I expect nothing less tonight.

Classic trap game. As long as the Flames show up for this one, there's no reason they shouldn't walk away with 2 points. They just need to stay focused, score early, and don't let up.

we should tank the last 7 (not too bad, like 3-3-1) and go wipe out the Central. I like our chances against chicago about the same as this current Ducks team anyway.

Calling Nathan MacKinnon "Not Sean Monahan" then calling Monahan the first overall pick was my favourite

I love Monahan, the shot, the demeanor, the clutch ability, but I'd trade him for MacKinnon straight up and I think most Flames fans would too. MacKinnon looked pretty amazing with Gaudreau on his wing at the World Cup.

I know the Avs fan is just pissed at how things have gone, but MacKinnon is a stud. Just goes to show how much of a team game hockey is. You need good players all around, good coaching, and good management. Avs have some good players, but terrible coaching and management.

Yeah, Monahan looks horrible with Gaudreau on his wing.

Nope. I wouldn't. Mony is a beauty and his boring demeanor are just icing on the cake.

Nope, I see zero reason to believe that Mackinnon is going to turn into a better player than Monahan. Even his crazy rookie season was only 63 points, and he hasn't come close to that since.

I'd trade a 1st and Bennett for him. That's about it.

On correction, but MacKinnon and Gaudreau were playing wing on RNH's wing. Not that i would be opposed to a Gaudreau-Bennett-MacKinnon or Gaudreau-Jankowski-MacKinnon line... i think it'd be pretty amazing and solve our RW problems.

Nah, I take Monahan over MacKinnon. If you're talking about a re-draft scenario, Barkov vs Monahan for 1st OA is the bigger discussion.

What a good draft though. Jones, Ristolainen, Drouin, Nurse, Horvat. Even Lindholm is starting to turn into the player everyone thought he'd be
