Default Vegetarian Options for Hockey Wrap Up Party?

Hey folks,

I'm looking for some recommendations on vegetarian options for our hockey wrap up party in a couple weeks. We're having Peter's Drive In but we also have to have some veggie options for some people. What are some good options for vegetarian fare other than picking up some kinda salad?

You could have pita wraps or falafel.

Once at Peter`s I ordered a Veggie Burger, but it is not really a veggie burger. No patty. Just a bun with lettuce and tomatoes.

Don't invite vegetarians

No clue. But I'm not a vegetarian.

My first thought was Chicken/Turkey burgers. Nope, still meat.

I hear portobello mushroom burgers are a thing.

Picking up some sort of vegetarian wrap might be a good idea.

I've made a portobello burger once for a vegetarian friend at a bbq and it was a good option but I won't have the option to grill up a portobello burger at our party.

My brother went vegan, and it's a complete pain in the ass when they come over, but some tricks I picked up, which can obviously be applied towards the vegetarian crowd of yours:

-Fruit! Cut it up, skewer it, make it look pretty. Everybody eats this, always a hit.

-Subway's vegetarian patties are vegan-approved. You could get some sammiches made, cut them up, and put them on a platter

-Hummus and salsa with taco chips or crackers (most of which are vegan, certainly vegetarian)

-Bruschetta with bread (like a sliced baguette)

-Warm bread sticks. Homemade ones is what I do (or buy a pre-made pizza dough), brushed with olive oil not butter. But I'm guessing nobody wants to do that much work for a hockey wrap-up...

-Panago is apparently the only fast food-type pizza place that has a vegan pizza with vegan cheese. It's pretty terrible, but vegans seem less picky when faced with limited options. You could also just get a vegetarian pizza if cheese is cool.

-Vietnamese salad rolls. Or their much more delicious cousin, deep-fried spring rolls.

Bring a cat. Let the cat occupy their time while you eat your delicious meats.

Boogies has a good veggie burger. It's just down Edmonton Trail from Peters. I'd suggest you get all of the burgers there instead.
