Default Harrison Ford seriously injured in plane crash

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/...-crash-n318301

Andrew Blankstein @anblanx
Sources: Actor Harrison Ford suffered lacerations and possible bone fractures but sources describe them as serious.

Quote:
Actor Harrison Ford was seriously injured Thursday when a vintage World War II training plane he was piloting crash landed on a Mar Vista, California, golf course.

The actor was stabilized and taken to a local hospital. Sources said he sustained cuts to head. There was no word on other injuries or what caused the plane to crash. It appeared he was flying solo.

Howard Tabe, an employee at the Penmar Golf Course, said 'There was blood all over his face ... Two very fine doctors were treating him, taking good care of him. I helped put a blanket under his hip."

The plane crashed on the golf course just west of the airport shortly after takeoff from the Santa Monica Airport, according to Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration, NBC Los Angeles reported.

yikes. My favorite actor.

Sounds like he was stable when they took him to hospital. Hope he makes it

Hope he pulls through. Plane looked like it thumped the ground pretty hard.

On a related note, have they finished filming all three SW movies?

Didn't the Millennium Falcon door also crush his leg a couple months ago?

This guy should stay away from anything that flies for a while.

Good to hear he's doing okay. He's played two of the greatest characters in film so I'm glad it's not his time. I kind of wish rich folk and celebrities would leave flying to professional pilots.

Even putting aside the two big franchises, he has a very impressive career. I say the top 3 for me, after star wars and indi, are Blade Runner, Frantic, and The Fugitive. And who are we kidding, Air Force One is a beauty.

Apocalyse Now is one of the best films ever, but he basically only had a cameo, so not including.

He isn't some hack. He occasionally volunteers as a helicopter pilot in search and rescues.
