Default Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency.

Anyone watching this on Netflix? I just finished season 1 and I thought it was a great show.

Thanks for the recommendation, this is now next in line for me to watch. I am a big fan of the two books and actually prefer them over anything from the HHGTTG series.

I mentioned my mixed feelings about the first episode in the TV series general thread, but I enjoyed the second episode a lot more than the first. It really settled into a better groove after being too disjointed in the first episode. Will definitely continue with it.

It got significantly better once I was 3 episodes in. By the 4 and 5 it was kicking into high gear and got really good.

Really glad I stuck with this, it ended up being great. Very different from the Douglas Adams version of course, but I think that gave them enough freedom to explore the holistic detective idea in ways that are more suited to TV than what was in the book.

While it was very different from the Adams version and Americanized it still felt true to the spirit of the books and followed a similar format.

The first half of the series was incredibly confusing while still keeping me hooked by wondering what would happen next. Then in the second half things all started to come together and by the end it was Wow Mind Blown!

Definitely looking forward to seeing where they go in Season 2.

So glad other people are catching on and liking this show. I can't wait till season 2 starts. It's going to be crazy.
