I honestly wonder if Lowry and/or derozen are trying to throw these games. The free throw numbers, brutal decision making, FG% all couldn't be that bad all the sudden, can they?

Ugly ass win always trumps a beautiful loss. If nothing else they are playing pretty strong defense even with the disgusting offense.

Tough to watch really. Playoff basketball has really gotten into their minds. What choice do the Raptors have though? You have to ride the guys that got you the 56 wins.

I believe in the Jays.

I'd love to be able to listen in to the timeout before Lowry's last shot in the 4th quarter. I mean, what happened? I can't possibly imagine that Casey drew up that attempted play, yet I can't believe that Lowry would have completely ignored any instruction that was given to him. Just an abysmal play.
Regardless, good win in the end. JV was a monster. Go get a game in Miami and then we've got a shot at this series.

This is another thing that has me wondering. At several different times Matt Devlin points out that Casey is telling the players to run and push the ball after a Heat turnover yet the players slow it down as soon as they cross half court. Are they simply just ignoring Casey?

Unless they're playing injured?

Then they should stop taking so many shots.

That last 10 second play by Lowry was too easy to defend.
4 players standing on the perimeter standing still. Lowry lets the clock wind down and drives for a long step back.
Frick, high school coaches can come up with better last second shot opportunities than that.

Can't imagine any coach would tell them to do that. I think Lowry was ignoring the play that was drawn up.

There is nothing in Casey's coaching career that suggests he knows much in the way of play calling aside from letting the "stars" isolate and jack up long shots.
See:
DD
KL
Rudy Gay
So while I see what you're saying, I'll wait to see the actual play that was drawn up before I accept that Lowry called his own shot there.

Help, save, whatever.

If true then there is zero accountability. So basically the coach draws up the play but you can just blow it off? Casey is a moron. He either drew up that "play" or Lowry just said "F-that, I'm going to strut down the court and take an ego shot" and Casey doesn't give him crap.

Lowry is awful. I'd honestly bench him at this point. What a dumb shot he took at the end of the game. Instead of driving and taking a two point high percentage shot he takes a garbage 3 pointer from 2 feet behind the line. Garbage.

Lowry is the first player in the shot clock era to have 10 consecutive playoff games shooting 40% or less. I think he needs to stop forcing it so much, if he only takes 7 shots in Game 3 it's not the end of the world. He really needs to let the game come naturally to him. And, you know, feed it to JV a bit more.

It's crazy to think that this team is tied after two games of a second round series with how brutal their stars have played.

They are playing very poor teams though. Outside of George, Indiana is bad. Miami is not much either. No Bosh, a declining Wade, a declining Johnson, and a pretty mediocre bench.

True - really the story of the Raptors team being really good is mostly just because they play in a terrible Eastern confference.
Likely just first round fodder if they play in the West.

Cavs last two games from three: 46/84 (55%). Game certainly has changed.

Too bad the Thunder/Spurs is happening this early. Thunder deserve better. One of Heat/Rators will be in the final four. What a shame.
Cavs/Thunder/Spurs/Warriors are the best 4 teams.
