Sepp almost gets there on ballot one, 133 votes for and he need 140. But yeah he'll be winning this thing again. Slippery Sepp does it again.

Hopefully UEFA stand by their threat.
Considering France, Spain and Russia (predictable for them though) broke ranks to support Sepp, I doubt we'll see UEFA do much.

6:59 GMT: Voting will go into a second round after Blatter gets 133 votes to Ali's 73, early results suggest. Three ballots were ruled invalid. For a first-round win, 139 votes were needed. A victory in the second round requires a simple majority.

France is shocking since it's Platini making the most noise.

NBC Sports Soccer ‏@NBCSportsSoccer Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein withdraws from the race. Sepp Blatter will be reelected as FIFA's president. #FIFACongress

I hope there is a case brewing right now against Sepp, and as soon as he steps off the plane in Canada for the WWC, a pair of cuffs are waiting for him. The RCMP should wear their Red dress uniforms when they arrest him though, you know, to show Canadian hospitality

Gary Lineker ‏@GaryLineker As predictable as it is depressing. All those FIFA members that voted for Blatter have betrayed the game they are supposed to cherish.

All the major countries would follow if UEFA, USA & Canada led the charge. Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Japan, Uruguay, etc etc. So would the sponsorship dollars.

The only countries that would remain loyal to Fifa are Russia, China, India and the small countries that Fifa has bribed.

There's no reason the new world cup can't be called world cup. They can't trademark that generic term. They can trademark FIFA World Cup, but all they have to do is preface the new world cup with whatever the new world organization decides to call itself.

Maybe World Football Organization.

Welcome to the 2018 WFO World Cup, hosted by USA

I think we need to change the thread title.

After today there is no way Qatar is losing the World Cup.

Players must lead revolution to topple Sepp Blatter and his obscene Fifa regime

Gary Neville: Protests from fans and pundits is not enough - if stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi boycotted the World Cup, Blatter would be finished
