Not a good first period. They'll pick it up and overwhelm in the last 30 minutes, as usual.

Taylor is keeping them in this, it could easily be 4-0.

Great PP puck movement, they just can't capitalize.

40 minutes done. 1-0 Bulldogs. Can definately tell we are missing the creativity in the line up that we usually have when Walter and Baertschi are in.

Don't be sad! We have Heat hockey! They're much better at the game of hockey than those Sassy Millionaires were.

The Heat have been pretty lousy against Canadian affiliates this season.

Took losing two of their best offensive players to finally lose a game at home. Disappointing, but not the end of the world.

I picked the wrong night to catch my first Heat game. Brodie was the only Heat player that stood out for me... Though he took a brutal penalty that sealed the game for the Bulldogs.
Tinordi and Commodore were great as the top pairing tonight, both are NHLers when the league starts up again.

Lots, but not enough
I paid for my 2 to come but decided to leave them at home... They're recent rescues and likely would have freaked out.
What a great idea though, I loved it.
I was shocked at the overall attendance...the building was only one-third full, or less. I expected it would be much more for a Saturday night game.

Regarding the youth on the Heat... Byron doesn't look like be has an NHL future, to me (unless last night was an 'off' game for him).
And I don't see Top 6 potential from Reinhart, I don't think he has the hands for that type of role...I really hope he pans out though, seems like a great kid to cheer for.
TJ Brodie was the only Heat player that played as though he's clearly ready for a higher calibre of hockey. As I mentioned earlier, both Tinordi and Commodore looked dominant for the Bulldogs.

I think everyone pretty much had an 'off' night last night. That was a pretty awful game. Ward was not a happy man after the game either. There are some losses where Ward says, "we did everything right, but had some bad luck." Then there are the games where he says, "we sucked." That was tonight.
Just an ugly game from top to bottom.

I am not sure what their normal attendance is but if it was bring your dog to the game night I know that would be enough to keep me from going to the game.
Seems like an odd promotion and a nightmare for fans.
