Sounds like Amazon.com finally sold out of the Xbone 180 Day One Editions. That system is currently sitting #6 in the 2013 bestselling video game items to date. PS4 launch version sits at #3. I assume that still supports that Sony will be pushing out more systems faster that Microsoft at launch. Given that the higher number of launch systems actually sold out faster seems to indicate demand is also higher - though the tide may have turned recently with Microsoft changing their DRM policy.

Regardless, looking forward to hands on play for both systems later this week.

LOL, shots fired during the PS4 gamescom press conference. I'll try to get the exact quote in a later post.

But November 15 release date for PS4 in North America.

EDIT: November 29 in Europe.

Sony releasing across 32 countries this year and over 1+ million pre-orders already.

Microsoft just had to cut back down to 13 countries and no release date or pre-orders announced yet - surprised they didn't say during Gamescom.

Friday release? Is that normal?

That would kind of suck if my preorder doesn't get to me on Friday since couriers won't deliver on the weekend.

I have no problem with it, pending I get my console and games on the 15th so I can play with it on the weekend.

I preordered in store. I think there will likely be a few people who ordered online who will get their systems before Friday, and a substantial amount who won't get it until the following week.

IGN has a live show right now after the PS4 press conference.

They made an interesting point, no Microsoft press event here. The Sony event was pretty strong here today. And they will have another one at TGS where Microsoft isn't even bothering to show up.

Sony will probably keep hammering away next month as we move towards the release dates.

Hmmm, most PS4 games playable on the Vita via remote play. They showed AC4 - seems interesting. Wonder if it'll be set up better than the Wii U.

You mean being able to go more than 10ft from the console? I hate the WiiU for that, the one feature I really liked and it sucks.
