Or the extreme disappointment of the store being sold out, or the extreme joy of finding a rare European only release by your favourite band.

Anyone else continue to carry an incredibly high opinion of the Judgment Night Sound track?

Its amazing how much time has changes

I remember every 6 months there was a record show that would come around and rent a huge room at the Hotel here in Hamilton. There's was this table that would only have 3 VHS tapes on his table and a binder that had a listing of bootleg concerts

Would scroll through the binder looking for bootlegs you didn't have, give the guy a nod that you were interested. Then head down to the underground parking where he would open the side door of his van, remove the towel covering a bunch of boxes filled with bootleg concerts. 3 bootleg cassettes for $20

You would run your finger along the spines of the cassettes as you passed over the concerts as you read them. I'll never forget holding back the tear's the one time as I was running my finger down and read Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton Alpine Valley 26 August 1990 (Stevie was killed shortly afterwards that night in a Helicopter accident)

But how weird, buying bootleg cassettes out of a van in underground parking like it was a drug transaction. those were fun days

This still happens on Record Store day for those old folks and younger folks who are into it. There are even Cassettes released.

My 17 year old came home with exactly that last week, he has been chasing a rare European release vinyl album for probably over a year and he finally tracked one down. The same kid who saves every nickel that comes his way, dropped a decent amount on this. Made him very happy and I have to say I admire that.

You guys are reminiscing about #### I still have today and listen to regularly. Approx 200 cassettes on my wall, multiple tape decks in my house including walkmans, records, 8tracks, movies on Beta/VHS and 3 VCRs.

I don't get rid of media, most of my favorite stuff isn't available to stream anywhere.

I also have 17 video game consoles starting with Intellivision, Atari and Coleco.

I'm the same. I still have hundreds of CDs, vinyl, DVDs, and blurays on my shelves. I doubt I'd ever get rid of any of them at this point. I stream and download just like everyone else when I'm in the car, at work, or travelling, etc... But I still prefer having a physical product in my hands.

I've seen those shows, haha! Not a chance.

My media is alphabetical on wall racks, the video games are all neat on custom made shelving chronological from bottom to top. I gotta take some pictures.

Streaming is convenient but does not replace anything for serious film buffs or music bootleg collectors. I love people who assume everything is on Netflix, their movie selection is garbage.

I remember splurging for SONY CrO2 tapes for recording albums onto cassette.

Those were the days.

Mine as well! that and Queen's greatest hits were my first two buys.

I still remember they cost around $11 each in 1978, seems like that was a lot of money now, but I sure got my moneys worth.

Bat Out of Hell was one of the best albums ever produced IMO, 5 chart breaking hit songs out of the 7 on the album, a few years later I was fortunate enough to see them live at the famous Lulu's and it was totally awesome
