I am actually starting to feel bad about all the horrible things I have said about Luongo in the past. He's a pretty funny guy.

Am I getting soft Calpuck? I don't understand these confusing feeling. I'm scared.

Soft? Without a doubt. You should get your testosterone levels checked. You may need an injection.

It is great that Luongo has such personality. That way, when Cammalleri shoots it into and out of his glove and it goes in, the entire crowd knows to say "luuuuuu".

It's Luongo, always has been. Schneider will be good but by the time he reaches his prime, the Canucks will be amid their own re-tooling.

Mods, can you do an IP check? Might need a password reset here.

I wonder what kind of funny tweet Luigi has in mind when we pass them for 1st place in the NW?

Just think back to his fake sniper head shots, his fake snow angel injuries and him making Tim Thomas likeable and your real feelings for Luigi will come out!

I mean seriously.... he made Tim Thomas more likeable! tweet that!

I don't know I like him. He is an elite goalie. Yea the pressure gets to him sometimes but every goalie has some sort of Achilles heel. He is sometimes sour or says dumb #### to the media but that can happen when there is a camera in your face and your nervous.

Luongo is the better G... The Canucks should be looking to move Schneider, IMO

The Canucks just need to hope that when they get down to the Big Game...they totally outplay the other so they have a chance to win... Like Canada vs USA for Gold

Luckily for us Flames fans... They'll move Luongo and never get back to a Big Game scenario ... Phew !!

For all of you feeling guilty about liking Luongo, I'll do you one worse. I like both Canucks goalies.

Never been a fan of Luongo, but his self-defecating tweet about the Anaheim incident won me over, and I've liked Schneider since his (and my) college days at BC.

Lou is attached to a boat anchor deal so Schneider has more value. I dont think he is worth more than Rinne, Quick, Price etc guys in his age range though so I still think they shouldn't expect more than a middling prospect and a 2nd rounder. He is already 27 and I dont see him as an elite or 1A starter like those other guys yet but he still has more value than Lou due to the contract so I think they should stick with Lou since he looks almost immovable at this point.

The Canucks botched this one big time.

They should have played Schneider more last year, to truly test him. Instead Schneider puts up his usual great backup numbers, and then gets a multi-year deal based on a 1/2 a good playoff series. They then should have moved Luongo last year.

The clear choice for an aging team is to go with who is best now, which is now Luongo. The problem is they've now severely devalued what was once a top end asset in Schneider. Now Schneider is an average goalie signed for 3 more years. Awful asset management.

Gillis might be one of the worst GMs in the league. He was handed an all star core. Since then he's messed up big time, with:

1) The above dueling goalies scenario. Which might be okay, if they didn't have a combined 9+ milion cap hit.

2) Bringing in Ballard, Garrison, and Booth at 4+ million each.

3) Re-signing Burrows. The guy turns 32 in less than a month. Next year he starts a 4 years extension at a 4.5 cap hit. He's an aging and secondary player.

4) Hodgson for Kassian. Kassian is not that good.

The Canucks are a worse team. They now have no cap room to move. Even if they can buyout/move several of the above, they will end up filling their positions with players on a league minimum.

I think now that they aren't really top Cup contenders, it's easier to pull back on the hate.

Plus that team is a lot easier to hate when that asshat Kessler is playing.

It really is funny though how much we all loved Thomas and hated Luongo during their playoff matchup, and now things have switched in terms of respect.
