Oilers is a stupid name for a team. What's it supposed to represent? People who work in oil and gas industry? No one in the oil patch calls themselves an "oiler". More like a specific job on an assembly line or in a railyard. "I'm the oiler on line number 3 where the axle bolts are put on".

What Are the Job Duties of an Oiler?
Oilers, or greasers, ensure that moving parts of machinery are properly greased. The job requires you to maintain equipment, apply proper lubrication, and ensure that any potential safety issues are brought to the attention of supervising staff.

"Properly greased". As in they can slip and fall down a lot.

They don't even know. They just saw Houston using it, had oil in the name and thought it sounded cool.

So it's a term used to define the greasing of the league and the referees?

The media coming to his defence the way have is even more embarrassing after trading that article.
Don't forget that he also pulled an Adam Fox and refused to sign with the Panthers.

I just heard Maclean say that Draisatl earned the refs respect. Huh?

For what reason would you think that, never mind say it on national tv?

And true or not…so what!

Because he’s an oilers fanboy who runs to defend them at any sign of criticism

First you have to earn the refs' respect, THEN you can be granted 'right of way' status

Also couldn't believe he brought up and compared to McAvi immediately after chatting about the Nylander 1st goal. It was completely out of context and made him seem forced and ridiculous.

What a bunch of tripe. Apparently the Oilers sound like a team ready to win it all. You beat the WORST playoff team in the west you clowns.
https://edmontonsun.com/sports/hocke...p-winning-team
This quote from Pissy was laughable considering it was the powerplay that won the series for you.

“Over the years, you just learn that things are sometimes more important in playoff hockey than scoring on the power play or whatever,” veteran winger Leon Draisaitl explained after the Oilers wrapped the Los Angeles Kings up in five games Wednesday.

What a ####ing idiot. You ####ing clowns scored more powerplay goals than the Kings were given powerplays.

One of the dumbest comments made by a broadcaster in any sport.

A report out there: Georges Laraque on Montreal radio 91.5 yesterday said that pissy wants to be a #1 centre on the bruins. That decision will be made depending upon how deep the greasies go in the playoffs.

I read that this morning and why I can remember the radio station frequency but not the source…well Friday morning.

So take that rumour for what it’s worth.

Philosophically, it would weaken the oilers a lot. I don’t think that he’s a star player as much as he thinks he is. It got me thinking though…could pissy be mad about not being the #1C ? Like jealous to always be in the shadow of Mavi?

He gets worshipped in Edmonton, so I don't think he is mad about being #2 to McDavid. I think he just hates living in Edmonton because E=ng.

And his photo and unwashed underwear are in Ron Maclean’s hope chest so there’s that.

I am more curious how you could understand him while he was chortling Drysaddle's taint.

This rumour adds up given that Pasta is his buddy and was openly cracking jokes that he should come to the Bruins at the ASG events.

I don't think he's bitter at all about his situation but a guy like him would relish the opportunity to be the guy somewhere and have success doing it.

Draisaitl and McDookie's patience with the Edmonton situation has to be wearing thin for both. Naturally any one will try something else when it's not working somewhere and the management group has proven itself mucho incompetent and desperate to suck to up mcdavid with brown and knob signings instead of using their brains to make sound hockey decisions.

They'll only bless a group of dumb apes with their presence for so long. I doubt signing childhood friends will placate them by the time the contracts are up.

If it is indeed Boston who's in on him, I'm not sure the Bruins faithful would warm up to his attitude, his pissy energy wouldn't level well with the m#######s.
