It's a small event, seemingly insignificant. But it builds important bridges. If one kid enters a hockey program and nine kids become Flames fans, it's win-win.

We live in troubled times. Hockey should be for everyone. In a small way, the Flames are nation building.

I was at practice today; they seemed to have a pretty big crowd on hand. It was good to see.
