Did you have to rebuy? Playing was also a memorable moment for me. I knocked out Roger Millions. I also won the Top Shelf experience. You will love it.

Rubbing elbows with all the players was my favourite part.
Yes I did a rebuy at the very start because literally my entire table did. I also did the add-on at the break. So I was into it for 6 hun but during the dinner break I went to the casino and won six hundred on roulette. Was just my night.

I know nothing about the top shelf experience. The night I get to go is March 3rd against the Wings. Can you give me a little insight as to what to expect from it?

Wow! Just looked it up and I have not had an experience at the Saddledome like that before.

At Matthew Tkachuk's table for the first 2 hours of the tournament. We have got a solid, respectful, and well grounded young man in the fold for years to come. He is now without question my favorite Flame.

Here's a funny story. It was starting to get fairly deep into the tournament. More than half the people had been knocked out of the tournament. I transferred tables and my poker instincts were kicking in.

So the first thing I'm doing when I get to the table is looking at all the chips stacks and seeing the sizes of them and relation to where they are to me on the table. I look at the stack to my immediate left and he is a monster chip leader not just at the table but of the tournament to that point. I look up to see that monster chip leader is none other than Brad Treliving! I say to him "It doesn't surprise me that you're a good poker player". He proceeded to tell me that he is not a good poker player and that he is gone all in blind for the past eight hands and won them all when what he was wanting to do was lose because he had to leave. I then watched him win the next three hands by going in all-in blind. He then finally just got up and left has he said he had too much to do and had to go.

Shortly after that they broke the table and I was seated between Kristin Hallett and Derek Wills. They were such great people and I was having such a good time and conversation with both of them I forgot to take a picture. Here's one of Brad though.

A picture of my 3rd place finish. Here's an interesting fact; the fellow that won it last year won it this year as well even though when they started heads up he was out chipped 8 to 1. Can you imagine having not one but two Calgary Flames poker championship rings!?!!! I would be fine if I had a heart attack after wearing my two rings showing off to my buddies. Without question that IS a dream come true. The guy is a lawyer as well as one hell of a poker player!

I did. I think he was extremely tired more than anything else. It must have been an extremely long day for him. Definitely not the most photogenic picture of him though.
