Best TV theme song ever. The show made no sense to me, and listening to it again I really doubt the song made any sense to me either, but I did love it.
My Aunt used to look just like Mary Tyler Moore in the era she had her show, same hairstyle, dressed the same. She also drove a yellow mustang. I used to think it was so cool, how much alike they looked.
The MTM show was so good.

the episode "Chuckles Bites the Dust" is one of the funniest episodes of any tv show ever. This scene is one of tv's great send-offs. And appropriate today:

Mary Tyler Moore was huge in her day, she was pretty much a female icon with the likes of Carol Burnette, Lucielle Ball and Julie Andrews among others.
It was rare in her day and age for a female to carry a series, even Shirley Jones in the Partridge family wasn't allowed to carry that series on her own.
The Mary Tyler Moore show sometimes gets underrated in terms of how funny that show is and how great that cast was, its one of my favorite comedy series right up there with a show like WKRP
