Extending Parental Controls Through Wireless Extender

I have a Linksys Wireless Router connected directly to my Shaw Modem.

Most of my devices are connected via wireless.

I have added time limits on one of my kids devices as he has a tendency to get wrapped up in youtube videos and stay up late etc...

As his room is the farthest away from the router the signal strength is weak, as a result I bought a wireless extender to boost his reception.

The problem is that the parental controls, which were linked to his deices mac addresses, no longer work as he is now connected to the extender rather than the router itself.

Is there a way to make the extender seem invisible to the router and still keep the signal boost ?

I would bet in your router you can see a list of connected devices, the extender being one of them. Use the mac address of the extender? but then you also affect anyone else on the extender I guess.
