Interested to see where they go in season 2.

Not sure I liked the ending. The rush of it and the looks, were amazing but story wise it was a bit perplexing.

He was a lovesick pitbull with daddy issues.

It was pretty bad.

I liked pretty much all the bad guys, but admittedly Kingpin was the worst one of the bunch. Too "Gomer Pyle" for my taste, with the odd speech pattern etc. They never really nailed the look either.

Generally I liked most of the series. Casting was succesful, the pacing was good, it had a good claustrophobic atmosphere with everything happening in closed, dark spaces. The writing of characters was top notch which really made the series for me. Every small character had been given proper attention to make them feel alive and have their own motivations which made sense.

All the torture really bothered me to start the series though. It was just so... Stock. Like it was the first thing the writers went to every time they needed something "dark". For the first half of the series there were 2-3 torture scenes in EVERY episode, which was more than a bit much for my tastes. It also starts to bug my suspension of disbelief pretty quick, as that kind of violent torture actually doesn't actually work that well in real life. It doesn't bother me if it "happens" to work a few times, but when they do it the 20th time in a row...

The fight scenes were okay, but they kind of botched the escalation, so they were all kind of the same outside of the scene where Daredevil saves the kid from the kidnappers. Apparently pretty much everybody in Hell's Kitchen knows kung-fu from the cops to the tailors. And they're all almost as good as Daredevil.

Oh, and Daredevils suit in the end was TERRIBLE. Really ugly and stupid looking, easily the worst superhero outfit of the current era of movies.

Still, solid series overall, 8/10 or something. Apparently next season the adversary will be Hand, which is interesting as a completely different type of enemy. Will be interesting to see whether they can handle the mystical stuff, which is always hard to do with style.

Series was okay until Kingpin started going on dates.

Didn't watch past that.

It's not until after the dates that he goes from Wilson Fisk to Kingpin.

I would argue that he doesn't go from Fisk to Kingpin until the very last scene. I hope he gets better.

Trying to avoid spoilers but wow I'm on episode 4 and I LOVE this show.

I was never going to give it a shot until I saw the rave reviews (9.1/10 on IMDB? That's nuts) and I'm glad I did!

As for the dates thing, I can't blame them for trying to humanize the villain. It's a TV show, not a movie guys. You have to develop the characters for people like me who haven't read the comic books.

Also, the suit in the pics on Netflix (haven't gotten to it in the series yet) looks really lame.

Why not keep the black mask? That looks so bad ass.

This won' be a spoiler because you've seen enough evidence through 3 episodes to come to this conclusion yourself. Daredevil suffers a lot of wear and tear from his fights. You can only take so much of a beating before you realize that an Under Armor shirt isn't going to cut it if you're going to be fighting thugs regularly.

Yeah I agree the suit was pretty lackluster, I wish they had kept it a little more grounded, like the rest of the show. I've always hated the fake eyes that his suit usually has. Looks much more intimidating when you KNOW he can't see.

But I think the reason for the suit (he almost dies in like every episode from fight wounds) is justified in the show rather than it just being "You're a super hero, you need a costume!". It serves a functional purpose because you actually feel like he's in danger.

Yeah that makes sense. I figured his suit would have some armor. I just wish they kept it grounded. His outfit was one of the reasons the show works so well.

I actually really like the suit, took his classic look and made it into light body armour basically. The picture in Netflix makes it look worse than it is I think cause of the way Cox is posed for the picture. I also like the fake eyes. I mean if criminals saw them, they figure out he's blind, and you would think they would put 2 and 2 together eventually and figure out who he is.

Hoping they introduce the Hand more next season with some Bullseye and Elektra appearances. Make for some amazing fights. Also be interesting what they do with Kingpin. I was kind of annoyed that he wasn't the Kingpin we all think of until the end of the series but hopefully they use him some more now that the so called transformation has occurred.

Ya I don't get where the hate of the suit comes from. They had to stay somewhat true to the comics and they did tone it down considerably. Anything more and it would have been too much of a deviation

I just think it's cause the early outfit is so bad ass. The suits supposed to make him look cooler.

I am halfway through and have been really enjoying it. Daredevil was always my favorite comic as a kid, I clearly remember the first one I bought on a magazine rack in a corner store while visiting my grandmother. I read that one probably 100 times.

Full marks for this series.
