Almost forgot about Mum Finally We Are No One is an amazing album,
So right. Maybe it means more to me cause it was a soundtrack (one of a few including Canadian faves like Matt Good and Tea Party) to a year and a girl in Aus, but wow... is that album special!
Oh my word, I have way too many random non-English bands and songs I like. So I'm just going to leave the one I've probably been listening to the most of lately. (Finnish)
Edit: Okay, I decided I really want this Danish one here, too.

Haha at the Guy that said Yellow Ledbetter. No clue what Eddie Vedder is saying that song.
As for my contribution. Manu Chao. From the Basque area of Spain and he sings in French, Spanish, English, Italian, Arabic and Portugese.
Yep. agreed. I bought Clandenstino at a black market between Ecuador and Peru. Great album. One song is actually played on Much Music French Kiss or whatever they call it. Bongo Bong.
Good call on this one.

I used to listen to a lot of Japanese music. My siter-in-law is from Japan and introduced me to it. Some of it is a little dated now, but it aged pretty well.
Number Girl (remind of a Japanese version of the Pixes)
OOIOO is one of my all time favourites. The front woman (Yoshimi P-We) used to be in The Boredoms and collaborated with Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth) and formed Free Kitten. OOIOO is one of my all time favourites still. It's an acquired taste though.
Buffalo Daughter is a pretty Japanese rock band too, but most of their songs are in English (or Engrish).
