Yep...

I wish they would do away with them and go 3-3 till someone scores, I doubt any 3-3 OT would realistically go beyond 10 mins. Intensity to the end, not the anti-climatic skills competition.

19 straight misses after the first two shootout goals. Brutal. Happy the Kings lost, they are not a playoff team if they're dropping crucial games to the Coyotes at home, sorry Iggy.

Karlsson might be the worst 3 on 3 player in the league, which is weird, you'd think he would excell with all that time and space.

I think the Bhawks take over the conference lead for good, the Wild fade a bit down the stretch so no need to worry over the single point. Great game by Crawford for the Bhawks to win it over the Habs who were down 3-0 and made it close at 3-2 until the empty net goal. My gosh does Weber have a powerful shot.

The Capitals break out of their slump and defeat the Wild 4-2. Backstrom with 3 assists and OV with a goal and an assist. The Wild were also down 3-0 heading into the 3rd period and scored 2 early goals to make it interesting until Beagle's goal to seal the win.

There are other factors that come into play than that single game. The OOT didn't help the Leafs at all along with the 7-2 romp the Panthers did to the Leafs The Islanders getting revenge on the Hurricanes with the 3-2 OT win, Tavares with the GWG and Greiss had a good game in net. The Isles win puts them in 8th place 1 point ahead of Toronto. The Lightning also pass the Leafs with their OT win over the Senators. The Isles and Bolts are tied, but, the Isles have 2 more ROWs.

Yep, I totally agree and...

You had one job Buffalo and then the Sabres sucked. Thanks for nothing.
I realize Lehner actually played very well facing 41 shots but after Eichel's goal 70 seconds into the game and the 1st period, the Sabres didn't do much. Pavelski with 2 goals and Thornton assisted on both of them.

Boy the worst think for the Kings is that they have a lot of money and term invested in a clearly declining roster even with that get out of jail free card the NHL gave them for Richards. Have to imagine this may be the end of the line for Darryl Sutter in LA.

They did until last night's game. "The Sharks snapped a five-game home losing streak to Buffalo and ended its franchise-best 11-game point streak against them."

Just checked the stats from last night. Shootouts are lame and I would rather a tie after 3 on 3 than a shootout. But I get why people think ties are stupid.

Kings losing to Coyotes shows why you can't look at schedule and chart out wins and losses at this point in the season. All that matters is how well your team is playing, not who you are playing. Kings not playing well and season is slipping away.

Exactly.

Flames beat the Pens one night, then the Kings lose to the Yotes the next.

Maybe that's why they play the games.

I often wondered if they just shouldn't just keep playing 3 on 3. The time it takes to clear the ice and go through 6 shooters would probably be the equivalent of an additional 5 mins of 3 on 3. about 2/3 of the games are won in the 5 min OT. Just keep it going. For every game that would go beyond that extra five minutes would probably be equivalent to those shootouts that go 10+ rounds.

Isn't that a typical crowd for the Hurricanes? I can't see how that team will survive in Raleigh.
