Glad that Dougie was able to come back so quickly as I feared it was an achilles injury. He and Gio have been the best pairing on the team this season and are one of the big reasons for the team's turnaround. After a pretty rough start Dougie has managed to produce some pretty gaudy point totals (38 points in last 48 games). Very impressive. That wrist shot from the point might be his biggest asset as it always seems get past the first defensive wall. Hopefully Wideman's been taking notes sitting up in the press box.

I hope the Kevlar socks 0layer a big part in Dougie still playing. I feel like that should be mandatory protective wear in the league.

Yep. Pretty awful how fans were piling on Hamilton especially when the entire roster less a small handful of guys were hot garbage to start the season.

50 points is the 9th-most by a defenceman in the NHL this season, and only 3 points behind Keith for 5th.

I'm excited to see playoff Dougie, if him and Gio find another gear this could be magical to watch.

Can you believe that prior to this thread people were talking about trading Hamilton and then the ridiculous thought that he would clear waivers?
Good Lord...the beginning of this season was rough.

going through the first few pages of this thread is equally amusing and terrifying. Holy cow.
My favourite post has to be "I'd almost rather have Griffin Reinhart". Unreal stuff.

Jesus....you have to post quotes of crap like that. For the public good.
And by good I mean shame. Much shame. So....so much shame.

Almost. And just right now. Just.
I feel my response to it, and only post in this thread apparently, was apt. I stand by it.

Oh....still makes me laugh. Well done. Well earned thanks.
Gaudreauvertime.....what a ride that was.
I was going back through the posts.....I had almost forgotten that Nik Grossman played games for us.
We are in the playoffs and we started this season with Grossman on our blueline. That has to be some sort of record thats just shy of a miracle.
