Was very pleased with Wides tonight.

I was one in favor of telling him to stay home if his head isn't in the game. Clearly his head is in the game.

Clearly the Flames will require depth D. And Wideman might score an important goal at some point. Could make a big hit.

At this point his contract has no meaning whatsoever. So maybe we can appreciate the depth we have, and be greatful he isn't an oiler ��

If a guy who was a second pairing player for 75% of the season and in the upper middle of all NHL defencemen stats wise is your depth 7th defenceman, that's a good thing.
