Right now I'm on a big Trilok Gurtu kick...



For most influential... there are many but Billy Cobham and Gene Hoglan are probably the big ones.





But the man is Virgil Donati.

My favourite drummer is Paul Banwatt from The Rural Alberta Advantage.

Simple kit, but he's absolutely mesmerizing to watch.

Zach Hill (of Death Grips and Hella fame) is far and away the best drummer I have ever seen perform live. He uses a very simple kit, but damn can he play the hell out of it
