Default External HDD Problems

Hey guys,

I'm trying to go back and access my external Hard Drive, and I can access it, but once I go into individual folders, there's apparently nothing in them. It's complete bulls#!t, because it says that it's used 225GB.

I accessed it not too long ago, and never had a problem. I've disconnected and reconnected. Shut off the power, and powered it up again. I got into a folder when it showed some files, but went to access others, and found none.

Any ideas to remedy to see AND use all of the files I've backed up?
