He would have to sign before the new year to be playoff eligible?

I don't think so. Maybe he would have to clear waivers?

I dunno, I think the Oilers might be hard pressed to beat the Dynamo Minsk based on their recent track record.

Did the Kings powerplay improve? If not, it's goals someone else used to score before they handed that spot to Iginla.
But more importantly; if Iginla is not part of your powerplay those goals go away. So powerplay goals are nice, but only if you think a guy will improve your powerplay.
Powerplays are really not Iggy's strong suit. It's not like he's terrible at it or anything, but I don't recall him ever being part of a really good unit.

Expansion happened at just the right moment for Iginla and his career. A lot of players who would normally be forced to retire, will find work. There are roughly 15 or so forwards that need to come from somewhere.

Man, just sitting at the bar and they showed a little montage of Iggy. I guess they will be discussing where he will end up after the break. But, man, the warm and fuzzies that would come from signing him. I mean he wouldn't be a centre piece, why not see what happens. I LOVE HIM! Can't help it... That's all.

I don't think he has a fit on this team, particularly if we do sign Marleau:
But after the Mony line and 3M, that is still one hell of a stacked bottom 6 if we bury/buyout Bouma.
Marleau Bennett Versteeg
Janko Lazar Brouwer
Stajan, F. Hamilton

Sometimes it's hard to believe Iginla is still (hopefully) in the league.
So many distant memories, yet he's still around.

I wish Brad called Jarome and said, "Happy 40th, Jarome. Come home, let's win a cup."
