However, after flying up to the seaside resort the 22-year-old failed to sign on the dotted line and remains a Cherries player for now at least.

Unfortunately for Bournemouth, Pitman won't be playing now.
The rumours are that he has now signed for Bristol City. I just hope that we got enough cash for him. Ideally £600k or £700k, won't be impressed with anything less.
We'll really miss him this season - he's bagged almost 50 goals for us in the last 70-odd games.
Anyway - let's get back to today's game...
Come on you Cherries!!!!!

Bad start for the boys. 2-0 down after half an hour. It's looking like another struggle is on the cards this season.

Yup a bad start. Seems their home form so far has been much worse than their away form.

Understatement of the year?
It will be a major coup of Rovers are in League One next season.

3-0 up away from home with a few minutes remaining.
This is a great day - sorry CP...

Tranmere manager Les Parry admitted his side were architects of their own downfall after Bournemouth won 3-0 at Prenton Park.
The Cherries put speculation about striker Brett Pitman behind them with a thumping win after goals from Josh McQuoid, Michael Symes and Marc Pugh.
Parry said: "No-one is more disappointed than me. We pressed the self-destruct button repeatedly.
"But we started both halves really well and performance-wise it is not as bad as the result would suggest.
"Bournemouth are obviously a good side and they will be thereabouts at the end of the season.
"Too many times when we gave them the ball they countered swiftly and we did not really deal with it. There was no lack of passion as some fans would suggest and the lads are absolutely gutted."

Tranmere defender Ian Goodison is a major doubt for the Carling Cup second-round tie at home to Swansea.
The veteran Jamaica international sustained an ankle injury during Saturday's 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Bournemouth and will be assessed closer to kick-off.
Centre-back Marlon Broomes and utility player Ash Taylor are definitely missing through injury and boss Les Parry must decide whether to include Ian Thomas-Moore.
The striker has had a transfer request turned down and showed his frustration at being substituted on Saturday by kicking the wall of the players' tunnel.
Thomas-Moore is keen to join his father Ronnie at Rotherham and Parry said: "I just want it resolving one way or another and don't want it hanging over us any longer."
|
Last I heard Tranmere wanted a 100,000 pound transfer fee. They might have to lower that a bit.

Was the other game's audio online because it was a Carling Cup match? When trying to listen to regular league games for Norwich, the BBC feed says that they don't have the online rights. Maybe something is different with Carling Cup matches?
I guess I'll find out in an hour and a half I guess...

Yes because it was on a weekday.
AFAIK, nothing is allowed during the regular 3pm (British time) matches on Saturday. No tv, no internet radio, just local radio for people to listen to.
It's a country-wide blackout to encourage people to attend games.
Only update shows are allowed on tv, they can tell you what's going on in about 100 matches but can't show you a thing.

I've got the gamecast on, not as much fun as the radio play by play, but what can you do.
Rovers are going to be in tough against Swansea.

It looks like Tranmere is engaged in a boring, possession game with barely any shots for either team. Which is, of course, exactly what they need to do against Swansea!

All I can see is that Swansea'a got %60+ of the possession. This gamecast blows.

You're not getting the live text commentary and the 2 shots to 1 tally? Not that it tells you much, but that's what I'm seeing.

I got that, but its meaningless. The one shot Swansea got wasnt even on goal. This is either the most boring game in the world, or it is so grippingly tight as to be enthralling. I'd like to think the latter.
Go Rovers!!

Yeah, it sounds like a real barn burner. Hopefully they can hang on.
