British gun laws are quite strict. I believe this is the 2nd time there's been an attack there since the bombing and neither time have guns been involved.

Note if the attacker who is being named is actually the attacker he's London-born. Not an immigrant. Converted the islam when he was 18 and was forbidden from leaving the UK due to funding/trying to fund terrorist attacks (sentenced to 4.5 years).

Get it out up front t avoid the "immigrant" portion of things if it does indeed prove to be true.

Also thank goodness he couldn't get a gun. You darn well know he must have tried.

Considering the debate around guns has always centered on the amount of destruction they can cause, and not them being the only source of destruction, I really don't see how this is relevant.

People also kill people with things other than guns. I sure hope that isn't news to anyone.

You need to tailor your expectations and have patience. Any "news" that comes out in the first few hours of an incident is likely to be provisional. Mainstream media have a dilemma:

A) Don't report on anything until it's solidly verified, and watch everyone flood to the alternative media and blogs while complaining about how slow the mainstream media is;

B) Report on news live as it's breaking, and hope your sources are good.

And of course alternative media can just post whatever the hell they want. It's not as though they have any legal responsibility or standing.

It was being reported in multiple places, and I thought enough time could have passed for it to be safe for me to believe they identified the right person.
