I actually like it too, it just doesn't feel like a ballpark compared to a place like Camden or Safeco to me... pretty subjective. Also because it's so big it always seems empty unless the Yanks or Red Sox are in town (or the opening night crap show).
Looking forward to seeing what it looks like with grass once they finally get rid of the Argos, just too bad TFC is getting stuck with them now.
News around the Jays sites today is that the Jays will go to 6 years for Lester.

Apparently the Red Sox have already offered Lester 6 years around 110-120 mil, so the Jays have to go 6 years if they want a hope.

What can Toronto fans tell me about LHP Sean Nolin. I've been told the A's and Jays are discussing a Nolin for Jaso swap.

Nolin was rated as the 97th-best prospect in the sport by Baseball America prior to the 2013 season, and he owns a 3.12 ERA, 7.5 K/9 and 1.62 K/BB rate over 13 Triple-A starts.

Nolin is a decent option as a #4/5 or reliever.

I read somewhere that Navarro has asked for a trade now that they have Martin

Jaso could hypothetically be a C/DH/1B replacing what Lind brought albeit at a slightly lesser level.

No Sandoval to the Jays, he (and Ramirez) to the Red Sox for about $100 million each. Jays already overpaid for Martin, no need to overpay for those two.

Melky is the Orioles fall back option if they can't secure a deal with Markakis according to MLB Rumors.

Melky is better then Markakis... albeit Melky cost a draft pick so maybe that factors in.

Back of the rotation type. Projects as a durable inning eating #4/#5 with multiple average pitches. No true strikeout pitch and his FB typically works in the low 90's. He'll probably be the 6th or 7th starter option for the Blue Jays to start the year. I wouldn't object to exchanging him for Jaso (I wouldn't be stoked about it either) Jaso is better then Thole and with Sanchez and Norris really close to MLB ready he's going to be be pushed even further down here so it might make sense to make that swap if they can also find a decent trade for Navarro.

Rogers has committed to continuing to improve the venue and there are few better locations in Toronto than RC.

Respectfully disagree. I live in Toronto so have been to the RC on numerous occasions.
While it's nicer with the roof open no doubt, it's not a traditional baseball stadium experience that you'll find in 80% of the league.
It's one of the 5 worst parks in the MLB, with below average facilities that opposing teams complain about (see Girardi last season) and a terrible playing surface. Unfortunately it's something we'll have to live with as it's not being replaced in the foreseeable future, so Rogers will have to continue to make upgrades and squeeze all the years they can out of it.

So Melky doesn't want to play on artificial turf.
Hurry up and kick the Argos out and put some friggin grass into SkyDome already!

Honestly, I don't believe for a second Melky doesn't want to play because of the turf. That'd be the excuse right off the top instead of negotiating. It comes down to money. Something must've went south in negotiations where maybe the Jays didn't want to be bargaining chips anymore.

What a steal.
Donaldson is a far better hitter than Brett. Power, OBP, OPS...its all there.
The middle of the Jays lineup with Martin, EE, Bautista, and Donaldson is absurd.
He's been top 10 in MVP voting for both the past 2 years.
