Oh, ok, didn't realize there was an HD mod.

And they're perfectly fine to clarify some of the Jenova-related plot points...
Spoiler!
And adding stuff in from things like Crisis Core, in particular, just make the whole thing more coherent. Obviously the dialogue isn't going to work when voice acted, so the script will be changed somewhat. But those are pretty minor things. There's really not that much to do. The story is fine. There's really no need to screw with it.
Have you watched the trailers? It is very obviously a completely different battle system, based off of XV's action-y bad camera stuff. I have little hope for it actually turning out decent.

That sucks. I hate the combat in XV.

I'm not a big fan of XV combat either. It gets repetitive really fast. But I'll live with the combat being what it is for the rest of the game if they don't screw with that. I mean, combat was never what was great about FFVII anyway (although the materia combinations you could come up with to make battles smoother was a fun element to the whole thing).

man just started playing Dark Souls 3...

i figured after finishing Bloodborne, that DS3 was going to be about the same level of difficulty...

Noooooope.

took me 8 times to get past the first boss dude, but only after switching to a Knight what had full block for its shield... the lowly assassin i started with probably added 15 more deaths...

Finally figured out you can block Iudex Gundyr with your shield; all the guides i read just talked about rolling...

Anyways... great game, if a bit hard... will continue the slog though cause i really loved my experience with BB

Prime day xbox one S arriving today. It came with a Kinect... is there any real reason to keep that, or should I try to get a couple of bucks for it on Kijiji?

I like to use it to turn on/off my xbox, sign in through facial recognition, tell it to record my sweet multi kills on BF1 like this one:

http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Im%20Mr%20B...video/34044401

and to invite my party to a game.

If you have it, use it. I don't know how much you will actually get for it on here or Kijiji. Try it out and see if you like it.

Good for you for finishing Bloodborne. After buying it and then subsequently selling it three times I managed to stick through it and finish it.

I was going to do the same thing as you and try Dark Souls 3 but I was worried about the difficulty level. I may have to hold off. I'm not very good at these games.

Honestly, it's handy to have. And there's a few Kinect games that are still decent, and it's nice to use voice control as well

I currently have both i just want the adapter for use with a pc for the stuff the kinect does.Horrible idea to use for games but a very insane piece of technology for other uses.

kudos to you too then!

you just have to accepting grinding and then farming in both games, if you aren't great at them like me... with BB, the saving grace was that it wasn't necessarily a linear progression game, so you could avoid bosses you were having trouble with like the Blood Starved Beast...

now if you play online, you can get help in BB... but i don't because i would just rather play alone at a time of my choosing...

in Dark Souls, the first boss is 5 min into the game, so you can't avoid it nor bypass Iudex Gundyr...

for the first half of the battle, keep your shield up at all times (you can still roll with your shield up)... in both phases you just need to stay close to his legs and keep hacking... eventually you'll break through and get the Prey Slaughtered screen....

my advice is that if you are having problems with Iudex, don't restart from the point you died, just start from the very beginning...before Iudex wakes up, you can get a bunch of free shots... 10-15% of his health can be taken with these free shots...

Edit: I started with the assassin, but switch to the Knight as he has 100% block with his shield

for me, using arrows is big as you can at least get a few hits before they get to you

Edit: i mean use arrows later in the game as you can soften some guys up from a safe distance

challenging game, for me at least, but so well done and well designing, its hard not to keep trying to advance... the entirety game has an overwhelming sense of dread.

Thanks for the tips! In all honesty that's how I beat the game. I just leveled my character up and leveled my weapon up to the point where I was a lot stronger than the bosses. It's probably considered cheating but some of the bosses just killed me in a few hits and I had so much trouble with the camera.

After the Blood Starved Beast the game seemed to get way easier. Maybe it was because I was learning but it seemed like the bosses weren't that difficult after that.

Not cheating at all. Not even 'cheesing'. Many an RPG/Action-RPG have been conquered with the same strategy -- grind and grind until you're unstoppable.

Dark Souls 2 is one of my favourite games. But it is so hard! It's the only game where I looked up on YouTube how to beat certain bosses. And even then it would take me forever.

Haven't tried Dark Souls 3 but when it goes on sale for 5 bucks I'm gonna buy that bad boy!

agree with outofthecube - in those FromSoftware games, I think grinding is part of the process... especially since you can lose everything you have just with two successive deaths... There so many farming tutorials on youtube, i think a lot of people have to do it at one point or another...

InBB, the Blood Starved Beast and the guy on the rooftop, Martyr Logarius were the two toughest for me... everyone else were hard/challenging, but they seemed pretty fair... ML and BSB (especially) were the two bosses that bordered on unfair, for me at least.

Savemedrzaius - DS2 was so hard, i didn't bother... it was the Bloodborne commercials that sold me to try again - it looked incredible... it was super tough, but definitely one of the best games i've ever played.

DS3 hasn't let me down yet...frustrating me tons, but not the point of stopping....

both those games remind me of the first time you do a dungeon crawl in skyrim...just really on the edge of you seat, but for the entire game!

That's cool. I've loved what Danny has brought to Kinda Funny Games Daily.

Doom 6.66 update today. 35GB download would be ok if I had any interest in multiplayer.

Has anyone been able to get Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth II to work on a Win 10 machine?

I loved that game so much, but it just won't run now. I tried so many different things like making a new options.ini file, and downloading a 3rd party patch program but nothing worked.

Any ideas?
