That's why we need two horn buttons on our steering wheels. One is to wave to someone you see, or give a little head's up. The other is for them to go fook themselves.

If it was pedestrian only, it would have solid lines. As many bikes use this intersection going both ways, it doesn't make sense to have them dismount. In this area there are several intersections that look like this, and as far as I can remember they are all on bike routes.
When I approach this intersection on a bike I always have my hands on my brakes in case a vehicle doesn't yield. I've seen enough cars run through it and/or stop right in the middle.

In case you were curious, the thick dashed lines for multi-use crossings are called "Elephant's Feet" in the industry. No idea if it's caught on outside of us engineering folk though.
I know in some jurisdictions, they only paint the elephant's feet so it's obvious that it's a different type of crossing. Some people get confused when they see the normal crosswalk markings too.

Just rode around the reservoir for the first time this year. I commute ~7km one way to work, so jumping in to almost 22km kicked my ass a bit! Felt great on a new bike though.
Also finally got Strava to work properly, so hopefully this is my baseline.

I just got back from a Reservoir ride as well. I went over to Chestermere Lake afterwards again to get in my June Fondo for Strava. Almost no wind this morning and the sun was gorgeous. A near perfect day for riding.

So far this weekend it is easy to see why, as the weather thus far has been flawless.
In the past I had not seen this many bikers in town. This place seems like it is turning into Bend, Or

Yikes, it's a ways off Bend. Bend is the whole meal deal... including 15 craft beer breweries that I would rank above Fernie Brewing Co. I was able log 30+ unique beers in untappd over 5 days a couple months ago. And shuttle runs for 15 mile long flow. Fernie has a long ways to go to get Bend status.

Is there any good family trial riding in Bend? (8 yr old level). We are going through there on our vacation.

I was talkind trail wise and number of riders, bend has more to offer food and drink wise.
As for trails for a kid - phils has a lot of smooth stuff, but there is some climbing. Would recommend checking out the mtbr Oregon sub-forum

Rode the reservoir again this morning and set 22 personal records. Crazy considering how many people were on the path walking.

Absolutely love it! There's the odd trail that I wish it had a bit more travel, but this bike is so versatile and has improved my riding immensely. Glad this is what I opted for!

I'm the same. 90% of the trails I ride, the bikes is awesome. The other 10%, I would like the hightower.

Did my first 100km+ bike ride of the year yesterday. Great day for it, found a lot of places I had never been before and I found the mountain bike skills park or whatever it is called. Steel frame rigid touring bike is not the best bike for this I would say.

40 km on my bike (a 17-year old Trek 6000) yesterday for my first mileage of the season. MRU area, through downtown, up to McKnight... and back.
Not normally worth mentioning at all. But after a hernia repair on May 4th, and recently returning to "no pain", I feel like I accomplished something huge. I've been working on redeveloping my strength, but clearly my endurance has fallen waaaaaay off during the past 8-9 weeks.
And I love the MapMyRide+ app on my iPhone for tracking my rides,
