Boy would I ever be surprised if her b/f was some jacked up DB who drives a lifted truck, drives around with a loud muffler that shoots out black smoke and turns his lame ass music up to 11 so that the whole neighborhood can bask in his coolness.
People like her want attention. She got exactly what she wanted. She no doubt hopes this media coverage will lead to her porn modelling career to take off.

If a complaint was actually filed I'm certain it would have been by a woman. They love to hate on each other. Probably someone that is jealous or had some sort of negative interaction with the woman and wants her out of the gym/club.

Got a look at some pics of them from the very original article that nicked some from her FB...he looks like a pretty typical Jersey Shore 'Roid head.

‘Al-Oujan was brutally stoned to death by ISIS militants in Jaradiq square in the Mayadin city on Monday afternoon,’ an eyewitness told ARA News, speaking on condition of anonymity.
‘Also, some civilians were forced to participate in stoning the victim,’ the source added. ‘The brutal scene has shocked all residents of Mayadin.’

This kid is in a better place now, even if that's just a box 6 feet under. The culprits had better hope they're convicted, because I doubt they'll be very safe out in public after all the info coming out during this trial.

This is a very sad story of neglect. We have a 15 year old, I can just imagine...

This is hands down the most depressing thread ever on Calgary Puck.
I don't know why I open this thread really. I guess its the morbid curiosity around train wrecks and hope for some sort of comedic moral to the stories, but the inevitable child abuse stories always fill me with anger and sadness

Haha. This is a good one. Uptight woman gets pranked as part of Just for Laughs Gags, complains of harassment by the man doing the prank...not remembering that these are filmed lol. Naturally Just for Laughs released the video and now the woman won't respond to the media anymore.

I really hate what a joke the media are and the article even notes that CBC reported this as news. Does the media do no actual reporting or investigation anymore or do they just relay social media posts that generate controversy from whiny morons? Wait, don't answer that, I think I already know.

A) Given how few reporters are in a newsroom these days, and the amount of time they have to write stories (they usually write 2-4 stories a day), then you're right - precious little investigation goes on. This isn't 1986, when a newspaper could pay a reporter to spend days on a single story.
B) These are businesses desperate for revenue, and if these controversies generate more hits than serious news (and they usually do), then that's what's going up on the website.

It is sad and horrifying, but I'm also trying to wrap my head around how it even happened.
Like, at 15 years old a kid can, more or less, take care of themselves. Was he bound and tied and locked up? Brainwashed? Just seems weird that he wouldn't have ran away or called the police or anything instead of slowly starving to death.

A properly raised 15 year old can take care of themselves, this obviously isn't the case here.

Untreated diabetes for that long, the poor guy must have been in such bad shape, probably not much he could do for himself.

Horrible story. So has the trial started, and if so, is there any clues as to why they wouldn't treat the diabetes? My mind jumps to some kind of weird anti-vaxxer type, but it really makes no sense.
