It didn't getting a great rating but I enjoyed Spitfire Paddy, I'm a sucker for WWII war time true story's, especially films involving aviation.

This one went under my radar, never seen it or even heard about it. On my watchlist now. Terrence Malick, Richard Gere, Sam Shepard, Alberta, hell yeah.

Speaking of filming locations, Rise of the Planet of the Apes & Dawn of the Planet of the Apes did a lot of filing in BC while War of the Planet of the Apes had a fair amount filmed in Kananaskis.

for capturing the sheer beauty in Alberta my fave 3 are Days of Heaven, The Assassination of Jesse James..., and kinda funnily Prey.

Yeah I really enjoyed that one too.

I think A Hidden Life might be my favourite of his.

Prey is an incredible showcase for Alberta, love it as well. A bit further east I love how Ghostbusters Afterlife captured the Drumheller area, honorable mention to The Northern Pikes for "The Things I Do For Money" video. : )

Wandering here, but I just read the Amazon show Outer Range was supposed to film in/around Calgary, but pulled out at the 11th hour due to the pandemic.

I think they're talking about the one that just came out. But I think it's supposed to be the start of a new trilogy as it's quite some time after Caeser

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is pretty good, but it just doesn't hit the same notes as the the previous three, which were basically continuous surprises in quality. They had something to say about human hubris and the rise and fall of society. This one just kind of exists and contains quite a few post-apocalyptic tropes. The CG is still top notch, but isn't as awe-inspiring as the originals. The female human character is distractingly attractive. Like of all humans, a Victoria Secret model remains?

7/10. Was entertaining and well-made. Doesn't have the heart of the others IMO.
