I was in northern Alberta for the first half of my life, southern for the second. I cheer for both teams (Canadiens first, Flames.....Oilers). I've been watching a TON of hockey through these playoffs.

How did Les Habs come into play?

I'm old, there weren't any teams here when I was a kid. Dad loved the Canadiens, so did I.

I will cheer for Leafs over the Oilers or Canucks.

OK makes sense.
I work with a girl who lived in Quebec for a short stint when she was a kid, but for the most part grew up in Alberta. Her Dad cheered for the Habs, and she and her brothers and sisters cheer for the Habs. Her kids and all of her nieces and nephews cheer for the Habs, even though I;m sure none of the 3rd gen. ones have ever even been to Quebec.
Thing is, she doesn't even know where they are in the standings, most of the time, unless she asks me.

Also, I grew up in Southern Ontario cheering for the Leafs, and I was able to self medicate my way out of that a long time ago.

My 9-year-old daughter has been properly educated in being a Flames fan.

When I broke the news to her this morning that the Flames lost in OT, she sighed, then rallied and said "Well, at least we can still cheer against the Oilers." I gave her a big hug.

My second favorite team is whoever can bring the most pain to the Oilers, Canucks, Leafs and Habs at that particular moment in time.

My son chose the Habs as well. I warned him that this wasn't the 70's anymore.

I don't like pineapple on pizzas. I spent a summer working in Finland once and went out for pizza with the cousin of the family I worked for. She was going to order the pizza, so I told her "no pineapple."

The pizza arrived, with no pineapples. However, it did have chunks of peaches on it instead.

Add feta to a Hawaiian pizza and you have a great pizza.

This sounds pretty good. Have to try it next time instead of mushrooms.

Feta makes everything better. I'm considering adding it to ice cream.

Feta on pizza is very very good.
This reminds me, one time when I was in Europe, putting corn on pizza was very common.

As do I. Sadly when 2006 came around I could not oblige as I cheered for every Oiler opponent like I was cheering for the Flames. As much as I loathe the Ducks they would become my new favourite team for the duration of a playoff series against the Oilers.

Not a fan of Feta on pizza. Like anchovies it's too strong and overpowers the other toppings. Corn seems like kind of a useless topping seeing a few kernels here and there don't add much in the way of flavour to anything.
