LOL, I was just about to post a game day thread. You're slipping HD!
Hate to say this, but I think we might lose this one tonight. I know how bad the Oilers have been this year, but as of late they are competing harder and keeping games closer. Their problem has been scoring, but I don't think they will have a hard time against us.
That being said, these are still the Oilers, so...

this is goign to be a bad hockey game. I don't mean the outcome (I do actually think the oil might win this) but just 2 bad hockey teams playing against eachother. I think they're both Junior B teams....

Sad to say, but this probably the first game in years that the Battle of Alberta is relevant at any level. If the Flames win, Edmonton is going to be the laughing stocks of the league - a 1st year rebuild team beating a 5th(?) year rebuild team, and provincial rivals.
I expect the Oilers to come out harder than they have all season, and I expect the Flames to do so as well. Can't wait for it.
Throughout this entire season, whenever the Flames have lost I've generally been happy with the game and effort. But this game is different. I will be royally pissed if we lose tonight, effort or not. Better be a 6-1 Flames win
Sorry, no further gameday details from me today, I'm in Denver right now. Going to Avs/Panthers tonight and Chiefs/Broncos tomorrow night.
Go Flames & Go Chiefs!
How did you get tickets for the Bronco game? I am sooo jealous!! Have fun, sport your Blue and Orange, and punch a Chiefs fan in the throat for me if you see one!!
Yeah a loss tonight will be exponentially worse then the 7-3 loss Thursday. No excuse to get outplayed and/or outscored by this rubbish of a team at any point, let alone after a game where the Flames got embarrassed and pushed around in their own building.

I will be very upset if the Flames lose tonight. I don't care if they lose every other game this season, but I want them to beat the oilers every single time
I want the Flames to win mainly to see the reaction from the Oilers and their fans. Worst team in the league that was supposed to challenge for a playoff spot this year, if they lose against their rival who was was supposed to be worse than them where do they go from there? Will Lowe, er, I mean MacTavish finally pull the trigger on a major deal? Will he say he still sees progress? Will Yakupov add to his league-leading worst +/- rating?
So many great storylines if the Oilers lose tonight. Hopefully the Flames show up in the first half of the game and put in a solid effort.
I'll say 4-2 Flames.
