Usually don't like female characters on shows and don't like Cameron but Donna is awesome. The male characters and Cameron whine a lot. Donna goes out and gets $hit done.

That season was great! Should be a great final year.

Now I'm just waiting for Humans to return.

It's going to be an interesting start with them leaping into the future

Wow, great episode! I knew it had to happen sooner or later but didn't see it coming like that.

I bumped the thread and then forgot to watch. I spent the week catching up. The last few minutes were hard to watch.

This season has been great. I love how they taken an aspect of tech the era as the talking piece for each season but focused on the great characters. This really is one of the best, under-appreciated shows on TV right now.

Hands down, my favorite show right now... Right up there with Breaking Bad and Mad Men.

So well down, and I give a damn about the characters... Greatly.

I love Joe... Id go Bi for Joe.

Damn! What a great finale. Ends like it begins. And the idea? Maybe interact? I was waiting for some indication of google but that didn't happen.

I wish it wasn't the end. But it goes out with class.

I'd guess some sort of messaging like ICQ or MSN.

Loved the finale as well. It's up there with some of my favourite shows. I'm glad they got to complete their story.

I'm thinking the idea was social media of some sort. The first social media sites started to come out around in the late 90s. This episode was the mid-90s. Might make sense.

I think the whole point was that it could have been anything. These people will just keep working towards the next big thing -- even if their next big thing isn't THE next big thing.

It seemed like the light went on for Donna when she saw the guy at the jukebox, so I was thinking along the line of Napster or Radio on the Internet (which someone mentioned in passing earlier in the episode).

Star Trek: Generations came out in November 1994, so that's the time frame of the episode. Audionet (which later became Broadcast.com) launched in 1995. That was the company that made Mark Cuban a billionaire when he sold it to Yahoo! in 1999.

After the first season, I never would have imagined this would have become one of the best shows out there. If not for the glowing reviews for season 2, I never would have come back after season 1. I remember thinking during the first season that they needed to make Donna and Cameron the centers of the show. It's very rare that a show actually does what I think they should to make it better ... and this is one time where they did and it worked beautifully.

It always made me laugh whenever they cut to Bos somewhere and he was in the middle of telling one of his jokes. The pure joy he had when the doctor told him he'd live well into the 21st Century was great. It's funny to think that even when it was only 5 years away, we still thought of the year 2000 as some crazy sci-fi future.

I'm rewatching this right now and damn is it great TV. It should be talked about with the same praise Mad Men gets.

It amazes me they were only nominated for one Emmy. Granted it was for their awesome opening credits.
