Those picks are going to be fascinating. We can have opinion now about value, but the discussion in 5+ years when those numbers turn into names is going to be really interesting (or they’ll miss on each pick and oh boy, Conroy, look out!)

If a lot of them do work out, we can change the name of the team to the Calgary Craig Conroy Trade Forest.

Then we have to include the waiver losses as subtractions, too.

Oh, Ruzicka and DeSimone, how will we live without you?

I love it. Look at the guys who went out. Would you rather still have them around for the next 7-8 years while they hit the ice on those walkers with the tennis-balls on them and we're wedged against the Cap?

Or would you rather see what we're getting now? Young, hungry and talented guys trying to drive the team forward?

By getting rid of some of the old dudes we've opened roster spots for younger players.

And guess what? Remember when all those old dudes were around? Where were we?

Was it a couple points out of a Wild Card spot?

Remind me again...where are we right now without all those old, expensive dudes?

Is it...a couple points out of a Wild Card spot?

First callup might be Kuznetsov, as the elder stateman.
Solovyov is two years older than Kuznetsov.
