If you can't trust a cop to be responsible with his gun, what hope is there for most of America?

A 2-year-old son of a police officer has died after accidentally shooting himself Friday morning.

The incident happened around 10:20 a.m. at 3811 Library Ave. The toddler, Dominique, was taken to MetroHealth Hospital, where he was rushed into surgery but died from his injuries.

The boy's father is a 54-year-old Cleveland police officer who was hired in 1993. Police say that the 2-year-old shot himself with his father's service weapon. The father's name is not being released at this time.

St. Louis is still triple the kill rate of Chicago, New Orleans and Detroit are double. How this isn't the biggest domestic issue in the United States at all times... I simply do not understand.

Because the answer is to remove guns from the hands of Americans through stricter gun control, back ground checks etc etc...and 'muricans dont want that, so they have a death by gun problem as a result.

Reports of a second incident at the rental car center at FLL, possibly a third shooter as well. I've been in that airport 4 times in the last year, so this is all pretty bothersome.

Reports that the initial shooter had military ID on him, 26 year old Esteban Santiago.

This whole thing is crazy.

UPDATE: Authorities don't know of a motive in today's Florida shooting. There was no second attack or second active shooter.

So if he came from Canada, did he bring his gun to Canada first and then back? Seems unlikely he could have gotten a gun up here.
