land title and married name change

I've got a quick question I'm hoping someone here can help me with. Three years ago my mortgage was up and I refinanced a few months before I got married. My wife-to-be consigned on the mortgage and got her name on the land title. Now, after two and a half years of shunning my family name she has decided to take it and is changing her name. She was asking me if we have to get it changed on the land title. I'm thinking its not needed as its still her. Can anyone enlighten me on the legalities of this?

It does not have to be updated, but can easily be amended with copy of marriage certificate.

If it is not updated she just has to use her old signature when you transfer title.

Thanks Troutman. I don't live in Alberta, but I found the NWT has a similar form on their Land Tiles website.
