As much as I rib on JPA as a ballplayer and his baseball "skills", he was actually a great guy when it comes to dealing with the fans on social media and the community. He's one of the most consistent Jays player to go on the annual Blue Jays winter tour year in, year out when he was with the ballclub. I genuinely wish him the best in finding his way again. Great power, but stupid baseball IQ/all-or-nothing approach at the plate.

Cool! What a crazy season......looked like they were just treading water again earlier in the year, now they are a lock for the playoffs and are looking solid to win the A.L. East.

What a pleasant surprise this season has turned into.

Their run differential suggests, prior to the trades, that the Blue Jays are a great team stuck with an awful bullpen and underperforming in relation to what their run diff. is at that time (except for the offence)...

then BOOM, the trades happened and the Blue Jays finally lived up to their steroid era-esque offence and run differential.

edit* The Yankees LOSE! The Yankeeessssssssssssss LOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Chi Sox takes that ballgame, 5-2!

Whoa Detroit won too!!! An Angels loss and this 22 year long playoff drought is officially, OVER!!!!!

This is unreal.

Can't believe we're going to watch Blue Jays playoff baseball this year.

Honestly thought at one point that the baseball gods have something against playoff baseball being played north of the border OR that we'll never see playoff baseball again unless we get moved to another division. This is not just a cruel dream, right?

The 90s Jays got me first interested in watching baseball and the 2015 Jays got me interested again.

It's been far to long since George Bell hit that homer to win the WS back in 93. This is the first year since then that i've really taken an interest in Jays baseball.

The great pitching and the power from the bats has me thinking this team could win the WS.

For the jays not to make the playoffs:

Toronto would have to Go 0-9
AND
Houston would have to go 8-0
AND
LAA would have to go 9-0
AND
NYY would have to be 4-5 or better
AND
Toronto would have to lose whatever tiebreaker games necessary to break tie between three or four tied teams.

Officially clinching a playoff spot, while incredibly unbelievable - feels somewhat anti-climactic when considering the new wildcard format. I don't think it'll sink in totally for me until we win that division. That will be surreal.

Yeah, the wildcard game doesn't really feel like the playoffs to me. It's more like one last chance to make the playoffs.
