Astros scare me too in a short series. We've proven we can handle the Yankees consistently. Either way, glad we won't see the Royals until ALCS.

In the NL, Dodgers, Cards, and Cubs all have very good pitching.

The Rangers lineup is formidable, no doubt. But their pitching, outside of Gallardo, doesn't scare me in the slightest. Hamels is good, but the Jays have had their way with lefties and he is home run prone. Their bullpen is also extremely weak IIRC.

My preference for matchups would be in this order:

Rangers
Astros
Yankees

Re Astros, Keuchel has cooled off, and again, the top 2 in their rotation are lefties which the Jays match up very well with. We've had the Yankees number, but it just feels like bad juju when we play them, and Yankee stadium in the playoffs would be an intimidating environment.

I think all of those teams have plenty to worry about with the Blue Jays.
