Meth lab, but the car wash would be handy for laundering the money.

Something like pawn stars where people bring me cool stuff to buy. Except instead of offering them a fair and honest price, I kill them and take the stuff. Low overhead. Avoids the middle man scenario. Then film it in a failed state or Russia to keep production values down. Profit margin plus residual income. That is the secret.

I always wanted to own an airline and become millionaire.
Unfortunately for that to happen I'd have to start out a billionaire.

Always wanted to build/design/run my own golf course. If the 50 million Lotto max ever comes my way, I've got 15 million to turn our local 9 into a worth 18.

You'd need a pig farm too.

I like the idea of owning my own creative engineering firm; something like high-tech companies with their cool offices, but for physical infrastructure and not digital. The problem is there is no money in that. I spent 10 years as an engineering consultant and the only way to make money is to pump out the same standard design detail and boiler plate report as quickly as possible before moving on to the next project. It’s sad and the reason why consultants make 20% less than their government/industry/utility counterparts. It’s also kind of a pyramid scheme where the senior partners can make a bit of money if they have enough underpaid junior/intermediate engineers pumping out work for them.
I work for the government now and actually get to spend a portion of my time on little innovative side projects, which is kind of cool. Someday I will retire with a fat government pension and then I can have my innovative business without having to worry about making money.

Book store was always the dream as a kid. Grown up me would love to run a pool hall.

Renting video games was my favourite thing to do as a kid. To this day I get a wave of nerdy nostalgia when I think about Saturdays involving nothing more than a bike ride across town to grab a game and a slurpee as big as my head. As a grown-ass man that has saturday responsibilities that feel more like work than actual work, I really miss those days.
It's basically a guaranteed failure, but I'd do video game rental store instantly. That being said, I've wondered for years how there isn't such a service offered somewhere.

I've been all over the place with this one. Lately, I've really wanted to open a hobby shop specializing in tool/parts & equipment for the multirotor crowd. Sadly the government brought down the banhammer on quadcopters so I doubt there is much point in that now.

Doesn't seem very practical to get wet every time you want to go from one end of the hall to the other...
