Which is why it's kind of disappointing on the comments made about Wideman on here. Sure he may suck now but I still give him a pass, as 2015 was all him and Russell. and yes he is better than Bartkowski.

All other Flames jerseys should be put in a rocket and shot into the sun, except for these jerseys and their white counterpart.
So So lovely.

Was, when he could skate. Its no contest between the two now. Bart can hit and use hit feet without falling down. Wideman can still play D when he doesn't have to chase such as the PK but is a liability once he leaves his own zone. He also found a way to fire pucks directly into other players better than anyone ive watched in a long time.

Hamilton's point totals are so impressive considering he sits 3rd on our team in powerplay icetime per game from the blueline. 2:16 a game is pretty paltry for a player of his talent. That's a full minute to minute 1/2 behind the leaders.

Tied for 5th in scoring for D-men.

I actually didn't realize this, but of course! We haven't seen captain Gio in the playoffs yet.

Guys like Johnny, Mony and Bennett have more playoff experience than Gio.
Comical in a way, and sad.

Im not sure why these farmer hat styles are popular. Who wants the crown of their hat to be that high?

Probably why he scored. Bishop didn't see it coming.

thought you could clearly see the difference between a playoff and a non-playoff team yesterday. The Flames looked ready and mature out there while the Kings absolutely deserve to miss the postseason if you ask me. Simply not good enough and the window is closing quickly. Also I think that Kopitar contract is going to look REALLY ugly in a couple of years. Didn't look anything like the "old" Kopitar in any games I've seen of him this year and that's a really bad sign in the first year of an 8 yr/80m contract.
The thing that's probably impressed me the most this season is how the Flames clog it up in the third period when they have a lead. Their great record when leading after 40 is no coincidence, they do an amazing job taking away time and space when the other team needs a late goal. Have to hand it to the coaching staff - like many others, I was very vocal against them in October/November, but they have done an amazing job. Liked what I saw from Lazar, looks like a guy with energy and a bit of edge to his game and I think he can be really good on a line with Bennett next year. Also loved the smile after getting high-sticked lol, how can you not love the kid?
Finally, hats off to Mr. Treliving. The addition of Michael Stone has had a huge impact on this team and getting him for a mere 3rd rounder is outstanding GMing. Hope to see him re-signed because having a competent #4 defenseman alongside Brodie makes a huge difference.

The irony: Flames might take the cup, LA is out, and Iginla left for a cupwinning team...

The Flames certainly have a better shot at the cup than the Avs or Kings

Meh, 3 goals and 4 points in 8 games isn't that bad. Obviosly not PPG like Curtis Lazar, but still better pace than say Brouwer. (That said, never supported that trade idea.)
Still, not as good as Chiasson in that stretch I think? (Too lazy to look it up.)

I am not upset he is not on the team, but I really wouldn't have minded seeing him on the Flames.
