Sean Monahan: Countdown to 30 goals
Can #23 score 30 goals this year? That would make it twice in three years that he reached the 30 goal plateau.
He currently sits at 23. He needs 7 in the last 10 games. Hard but achieveable.
Let's go, Moneyhands!

I'm not banking on it, 7 in 10 games is tough.

Needs a hat trick or something for this to be realistic.
So yes. First career Hat Trick tomorrow.

He can be pretty streaky, so if he can get hot here, I could see him managing to hit 30.
I think I'll be satisfied if he can get to 25 though.

Meh, at this point I'd take a win in Anaheim over any individual milestone of any player.

I already called Bennett getting 5 in that game so... 9-0 Flames!

While we're at it, 20 goals and 60 points for Johnny? Currently at 16 and 52.

That is quite reasonable.
How about 20 goals 70 points though?
He needs 4 goals and 14 assists in 10 games. Not impossible for Johnny.

The way he's been playing lately I feel like 60 points will happen. Hasn't had much luck scoring goals this year but we know he's capable of +3 goals in a game if he's playing his best so it's definitely not a stretch to say he'll get there.

Of course, hitting these targets will require that Mony or Johnny plays all the remaining games. After a playoff spot and positioning is locked up, players may be given games off to rest up for the playoffs. It's happened before.
I guess I'd rather have our top players rested and ready to go for round 1, but seeing Mony hit 30 isn't a bad thing.

Monahan is unlucky not to be closer. He's had stellar chances in the last several games. The goalies made some good saves on him.

Not only good saves on him, if he put the puck on net instead of wide with some of these chances he's getting he would probably be over 30. He's really putting himself in great position, which has ALWAYS been one of the strongest parts of his game.
I also think he has been playing the best two way hockey over the last ten games or so that we've ever seen from him.
I'm loving his game right now.
