Jews are such a small portion of the population (8,000ish for Calgary) that Jewish people tend to be either proud of Jewish accomplishments or inquisitive. For a group that seems to be hated on by so many people, it certainly doesn't hurt to see the successful Jewish players.

People of the Jewish faith tend to emphasize education higher than just about any other ethnic group. I worked at a Hebrew immersion camp as one of the non-Jewish workers, and it was pointed out to me by one of the Jewish councilors that the Talmud has several passages about being educated. I was really amazed at how much time and commitment they they devote to their studies.

Well I do not know Tyler Seguin personally, I do know that he has 2 full sleeves of tattoos which would never be allowed if he was a practicing muslim (at least a sunni) I had a friend get thrown out of his house for getting a tattoo who was a sunni, I believe his Mom said it was destroying a gift from God
