McDavid, Crosby, Burns finalists for the Ted Lindsay Award
This award is voted on by the players for the leagues most outstanding player. McDavid should win IMO.

Hard to imagine McDavid not winning, 40% of the Oilers regular season goals involved him. That's got to be a record of some sort.

I'm a big fan of McDavid but he's in tough on this one, in my opinion. Burns has had an amazing season and I think that Crosby is the best player in the league. If voters interpret this as the best player then I could see McDavid trailing this field. He's most valuable but not the best player. It could be a very close vote.

The players finish voting on this before the regular season ends I believe.
So it makes sense that Burns is one of the nominations as a lot of the votes would have been in before his production dropped off the face of the earth.
Crosby has a good chance to take it because they were pretty even in points for awhile before McDavid pulled away in the last 2-3 weeks.

I did a quick check, in 85-86 Gretzky had 215 points while the Oilers scored 426 goals that season. He was in on over 50% of the production.

Kane was in on 45% of goals last year.

This trophy should be the most prestigious, but for some reason we still think the Hart is the true MVP trophy.
This one is a toss up and all three players have solid cases to win. Burns being a d-man and dominating offensively might give him an edge though.

I want him to win this and the Hart and build up a incredible case for his agent when it comes to negotiation time.

Its not going to be a negotiation. The agent will likely have the contract drawn up in advance and Chia is just going to have to sign it.
