Default What size pool table?

As the thread states. We are looking at pool tables. We can squeeze in an 8ft using 57" cues, but would a 7ft be good enough? It would provide more space. I'm just concerned it's too small. We aren't pool playing experts. It's just my family or when my son has his friends over. He's 11.

Demolish the walls around the intended room for the pool table. Even the washroom walls if necessary.

You’ll need that respectable room for the 8ft table

As a kid who grew up with a warped, damaged uneven pool table, it doesn't matter. We all had fun. Go with the smaller one if you don't want to be doing drywall repair. I mean, you still will, with balls "accidentally" launched off the table...

If you play competitive pool like in a league you don't want an 8 foot, tables are either 7 foot (barbox) or 9 foot. If you don't have the room for a 9 I would go 7.

Or get a bumper pool table (even smaller). I prefer that over normal pool...easy to learn, too.
