Default Large Explosion Destroys Businesses In Vancouver

Blast destroys Vancouver businesses

Quote:
A massive explosion destroyed a Vancouver coffee shop and a taco shop, and damaged several other businesses early Wednesday.

The blast on the 600 block of West Broadway Avenue, about one block away from Vancouver General Hospital, engulfed a Starbucks and a neighbouring Taco Del Mar shop in what witnesses described as a fireball at about 2:30 a.m. PT.
Quote:
Police on the scene said they were treating the explosion as suspicious, but fire investigators were also investigating the possibility it could have been caused by a gas leak in the taco restaurant.
Wow... that must have been pretty frightening for the people nearby.

WOW!! Jesus, traffic must have been a bitch this morning around that area. Broadway is super busy and the main bus routes to UBC run along there.

Good thing it didn't happen during the middle of the day.

I almost caused a gas explosion last Sunday in Tarington Woods, also due to said Taco Del Mar - never mix onions and blackbeans people!
