The Heat's powerplay looked more fluid with quick passes than the big clubs...

Let's get Huska up to the Saddledome...

Lots of scoring punch from our draftees on the top two lines and PP.

Gillies might have had some puck luck last night but you cannot argue with his SV so far this season!

Gillies in net again as the Heat host Tuscon tonight.

Half way through the first still 0-0, shots 4-3 Heat early.

Bollig (Robak, Lomberg) opens the scoring. Lomberg has dominated all night and the goal was all him. He's drawing a ton of penalties too. And destroyed Kyle Wood on the other team. Absolutely destroyed, I was worried it might be a charge but it wasn't.

I would really like to see Garnet Hathaway called up ASAP. He is HARD on the puck unlike most of our NHL roster sans Ferland. Had a play that really stood out on the PK where Culkin couldn't clear from behind the net, and Hathaway helped out down low in traffic to save his butt from that turning into a deadly scoring chance by outmuscling two guys.

Pribyl is the other guy who is hard on the puck. Hasn't hit the score sheet yet this season but I've noticed him positively often.

AHL Heat have the same terrible PP entries as NHL Flames.

Heat dominate the shot clock in the 2nd 19-4. Shots 26-13 after two, still 1-0.

Dang! Just left the page. Was hoping Gillies GAA would get closer to 1.00.

Pribyl had a hell of a drive along the goal line from the wing right to the front of the net. Couldn't score though.

Shinkaruk has been very shifty.

Jankowski looks hurt

Hathaway just creamed a Tucson player, but creamed Jankowski in the process. He was down for awhile but is apparently still on the bench.

PP for the Roadrunners

EDIT: Perlini just evened it up, 4 on 4

Less than 10 minutes left

This wasn't a meaningless hit either, it was a backcheck in the slot to save a goal.
