Hope and excitement are mistakes.
Go into June 20 dreading the worst possible outcome and focus only on that. That way, if it's better than you imagined, you'll be extremely happy and relieved, and when it's inevitably even worse than you imagined at least the disappointment will sting slightly less.

Good plan Pepsi, lets repost that 'Ultimate Flames Jersey' in here again. Everyone just imagine it'll be that and everyone will be happy.

Will be interested to see what a bunch of bottom barrel focus groups and Ken King's design expertise come up with next.

I've seen in a few places that they're going back to their royal blue. Maybe they go full retro or maybe they surprise us with Buffaslug 2.0.

As stated many times, majority of us are hoping for Retro's home and away. Knowing King & co. we prob get the exact opposite. Perhaps more black gets added and that weird cowboy boot prototype design that was put out a few years ago. Or perhaps more wordmarks on the front, it can't get any more original than that...

Wouldn't it have been wise to start this thread on June 20th? This thread is the same as the other thread, with Ken King, piping, black, retro, etc. already being mentioned. The reveal is 11 days away and will be 300 posts of the same when the actual reveal happens. Will there be another thread started then?

I kinda hope they're all black with a yellow C and red Adidas style Mobius strip piping all around the torso.

Going to rant, skip ahead of you don't want to read my latest missive.
The previous third jerseys and clinging onto the Linkin Park era red and blacks shows how incredibly tepid, corporate and circumspect this franchise is with its image and branding.
I can't stress enough how bad those third jerseys are. And not really for their ugliness but by how creatively bankrupt they were. It screamed design by committee and managed by someone who had no clue what they were doing besides trying to make something safe enough to sell enough.
Sure the impetus of a new jersey is to sell it. By that benchmark the jerseys failed spectacularly. A third jersey is an opportunity to tread new ground, test new brands, show life and renewal in a familiar brand. Instead we were reminded what city we lived in with the lamest call back to a western culture. They didn't even own that theme in the Jersey fully!
In the end what we got was a Christmas tree of a jersey. Everyone got to put their own ornament on it so long as it didn't stick out too much.
That jersey was as clear a signal as any that somebody who didn't know what they were doing but didn't trust the designers enough to do their jobs was meddling to much in the process.
