It's my understanding that all games on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays will be broadcast nationwide without blackout. If that's correct, there are quite a few missing from the national list right now, like Saturday afternoon games and a lot of Wednesday night games.
I think all they've announced today are the "flagship" national games that will fall under the Hockey Night in Canada, Wednesday Night Hockey, and Sunday Night Hockey (formerly Home Town Hockey) banners. As it says in their promotional material, 200 national broadcasts were announced today, but they will have more than 350 total when everything is announced.
All tolled, the Flames have 17 Saturday games; 11 Wednesday games; and 5 Sunday games. That should see 33 games airing nationally over the season.
Of course, if you live in the Flames region, all 82 games will be televised somewhere.

I read something along this line too but it was unclear if there was a charge for this access or not or if what I read was just someone else speculating. Not having to buy Centre Ice would help my pocket.

Agreed. Much prefer TSN over Sportsnet. Rather watch the game somewhere than nowhere though.

Gonna be interesting to see what this "no blackouts" thing does for NHL GameCenter, do they dare keep the price the same while allowing it to become a very nice alternative to cable?

I'm in Winnipeg for work the weekend of October 17th.
The Predators are in town (my cousin is the backup goalie) for the home opener on Friday and the Flames visit on Sunday. Giddy-up!

Pretty sure there are still blackouts.
It sounded like smaller packages (such as Sportsnet Canadian teams) would be available instead of the all-encompassing Centre Ice package.

Every team visits Calgary at least once, all Pacific Division teams visit at least twice...
Pacific Division: - Anaheim = 5 games: 2 in Anaheim, 3 in Calgary
- Arizona = 5 games: 2 in Glendale, 3 in Calgary
- Edmonton = 5 games: 2 in Edmonton, 3 in Calgary (2 in the week after Christmas, including NYE, one at the end of January)
- Los Angeles = 5 games: 3 in LA, 2 in Calgary
- San Jose = 5 games: 3 in San Jose, 2 in Calgary
- Vancouver = 4 games: 2 in Vancouver, 2 in Calgary (season opener and HDIC on Valentine's Day)
Central Division (all teams play 3 games, either 2 home/1 away or 1 home/2 away): - Chicago = visit Calgary once
- Colorado = visit Calgary twice
- Dallas = visit Calgary twice
- Minnesota = visit Calgary twice
- Nashville = visit Calgary once
- St Louis = visit Calgary once
- Winnipeg = visit Calgary once
--------------------
Teams who come to Calgary twice: Colorado, Dallas, Los Angeles, Minnesota, San Jose, Vancouver
Teams who come to Calgary three times: Anaheim, Arizona, Edmonton
I can't remember a season with so many long home stands and long road trips. This is how it breaks down: 1H - 6A - 5H - 5A - 5H - 3A - 3H - 4A - 2H - 2A - 6H - 5A - 6H - 2A - 4H - 7A - 2H - 1A - 5H - 5A - 2H - 1A
There are 10 sets of back-to-back games, with travel required in-between each one (one is Rangers and Devils back-to-back, so the travel is minimal for that one).
Breakdown by days: - Monday, 9 total: 4 home, 5 away
- Tuesday, 14 total: 8 home, 6 away
- Wednesday, 11 total: 7 home, 4 away
- Thursday, 14 total: 7 home, 7 away
- Friday, 12 total: 7 home, 5 away
- Saturday, 17 total: 8 home, 9 away
- Sunday, 5 total: 0 home, 5 away
Breakdown by start time: - 1:00pm MT, 2 total: 0 home, 2 away
- 2:00pm MT, 1 total: 1 home, 0 away
- 3:00pm MT, 1 total: 0 home, 1 away
- 5:00pm MT, 13 total: 0 home, 13 away
- 5:30pm MT, 4 total: 0 home, 4 away
- 6:00pm MT, 6 total: 1 home, 5 away
- 6:30pm MT, 1 total: 0 home, 1 away
- 7:00pm MT, 26 total: 25 home, 1 away
- 7:30pm MT, 5 total: 4 home, 1 away
- 8:00pm MT, 18 total: 10 home, 8 away
- 8:30pm MT, 5 total: 0 home, 5 away
Home game start times: - 2:00pm : 1 x Saturday
- 6:00pm : 1 x Friday
- 7:00pm : 4 x Monday, 8 x Tuesday, 7 x Thursday, 6 x Friday
- 7:30pm : 4 x Wednesday
- 8:00pm : 3 x Wednesday, 7 x Saturday

I'm probably going to end up making the last back-to-back there.

If you have a full week to spare, the California trip in January could be a good one too: Jan 15-21 - Arizona, San Jose, LA, Anaheim. It's a lot easier travel than some of the other ones. You could cut the San Jose game out and it would be an easy drive -- Fly to Phoenix for the Thursday game, rent a car and drive to LA (an easy 4 hour drive through the desert); spend the weekend in SoCal and watch the San Jose game at a sports bar in LA; go to the LA and Anaheim games on Monday and Wednesday.
I think I'm going to give serious consideration to the New York trip at the end of February. 3 games in 4 nights, all easy access from NYC.

The name change doesn't go into effect until the day of the draft. So technically, they are still Phoenix right now. I believe they cannot use anything saying "Arizona Coyotes" until the draft because of trademark or some other legal thing.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who sees that this schedule is a bit "odd". The long homestands and the long road trips. What I'm really disappointed with is the stretch between the season opener on October 8 and the 2nd home game on October 21. Thirteen days between the 1st and 2nd home games? Really? That is a bit much.
